States Logistics offers a wide range of benefits for our employees and their dependents, from competitive wages, excellent health care options, flexible time-off benefits, and long-range retirement offerings. Below is a summary of our benefit programs.

Company Benefits

Eligibility

All regular full-time employees will be eligible for the following company benefits upon completion of the 90-day orientation period.

Holidays

States observes the following 8 holidays:

 

New Year’s Day Memorial Day 
Independence Day  Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve Christmas Day
Vacation Vacation hours are accrued based on length of employment & hours worked according to the following schedule.  Employees earn a week of vacation during their first year, two weeks per year during their second through fourth year, and three weeks per year thereafter.
Sick Days Three (3) paid sick days* per year are available to be used for illness, injury or medical appointments.
Personal Days Two (2) paid personal days* are available to be used for appointments, personal business, attendance at school activities or any other personal reason.  Personal days must be scheduled in advance.        
Health Care

States offers an affordable comprehensive health benefit package consisting of:
                                    * A choice between an HMO and PPO Medical Plan
* A choice between a DMO and PPO Dental Plan
* Vision Reimbursement Plan (available with Medical at no extra cost)
* Life Insurance (available at no extra cost)
Enrollment is the first of the month following 90 days of continuous employment for non-exempt employees.  
                     

Retirement States offers a 401(k) qualified retirement savings program which affords employees the opportunity to put money aside, on a pre-tax basis, for the senior years.  Funds are invested in a variety of investment options, which are directed by the participant. The company may make a discretionary contribution on an annual basis.
ESOP

Employee ownership is an extraordinary opportunity for ordinary people to improve their stake in life, to create a better quality of life for themselves and their families, and to add value to the company they own.  States management believes in sharing the success -and profits- with those who make it possible through their hard work and dedication—the employees.  That is why States created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan.  ESOPs give employees ownership in their company by allowing employers to contribute company stock or cash to the Plan.  Annual contributions are discretionary and based on the profitability of the Company.

FSA Plan Employees may elect to withhold up to $5,000 from taxes for medical expenses and up to $5,000 for dependent care expenses they expect to incur in a calendar year.  This can result in a significant tax saving to the employee.
Credit Union Employees may sign up with WesCom Federal Credit Union in CA and Canyon State Credit Union in AZ  for their banking and financial needs.
